IN THE DOCUMENT reference is made to the intention of Iosif N. Kiappe to set up on Hydra a printing house. The Executive, judging that the benefit for the country from this initiative will undoubtedly be great, gives its approval.
The Φίλος του Νόμου/Friend of the Law proved to be the longer lasting newspaper of the Greek Revolution,

publishing a total of 296 issues. It functioned as an administrative gazette, which to a great extent re- flected the views of the island’s powerful family, the Kountouriotis. In it circulars, decisions, decrees, as well as the Proceedings of the Legislative were published, coupled with information on the course of the military and naval operations, but on civil disputes, too.

THE GOVERNOR calls the members of the Senate to deliver an opinion about the plan of the appropriate Committee on the distribution of na- tional assets. He holds the view that the farmers of
the provinces will deem as burdensome the terms of the plan and he points out to them the need to rely on their own national resources – as opposed to the money of the loans.
