HALL OF THE TROPHIES
In the monumental painted frieze of the Hall of the Trophies, Freedom is transfigured archetypically into scenes
from pivotal military and political-diplomatic episodes
of the revolutionary period, but also into historical
or allegorical figures. Original and unique historical documents, such as the Archives of the Greek Regeneration, and artworks, primarily of the philhellenic iconography, converse with the Frieze of the Revolution, in order
to compose the palimpsest of the Struggle
for the Greek Regeneration.
