Victories of the Greeks on land and at sea
140 BEHOLDING LIBERTY!
The shields of the Nike on the frieze bear the names of the locations where victorious battles were held by the Greeks, both at sea and land, after the outbreak of the Revolution. Valtetsi, Doliana, Lala, Tripolitsa, Athens, Neokastro, Corinth, Spetses, and other places lay the victorious scene and reignited the hearth of the fatherland.
A symbolic scene with the classic personifications of the Nikae, who bear shield, while stepping on Turkish booty. The Nike on the right pours a libation in offering to Greece.
