Moreover, heartfelt thanks go to the Curators of the Exhibition, Dr Thodoris Koutsogiannis and Dr Maria Kamilaki, executives in the Library of the Parliament Directorate, who, through the re- search, selection and documentation of the exhibits, visual and textual ones, offer us an exhibition experience matching the outstanding occasion.
Finally, I would like to extend my thanks to all the involved in the project organization Services of the Parliament and their employees, who worked together towards the common objective, under unprecedented conditions, due to the pandemic.
With regard to the external collaborators, who assisted our endeavour, I thank and I congratulate them all for the impeccable collaboration and excellent result.
More particularly, however, I would like to thank the Public Benefit Foundation «Alexandros S. On- assis» and personally his President, Mr. Antonis S. Papadimitriou, for the generous and exclusive donation of museum standards new display equipment, which will showcase the documents of the present exhibition, but also of many other similar ones for many years to come.
Warm thanks I also extend to the private collectors, who kindly lent us rare documents of high historical and artistic value, enriching the exhibition material: Mr Michalis Varkarakis, for the numerous series of unique philhellenic works from Michalis and Dimitra Varkarakis Collection• the Evangelos Averof-Tositsas Foundation, for the three emblematic paintings from the Averof Museum at Metsovo• the historical families of Tompazis and Zaimis, snd the descendants of the Vassilis Korkolopoulos Collection, for the heirlooms and weapons of the Struggle• the collectors Michalis Ntais and Ilias Boubouris.
The Hellenic Parliament has the great pleasure and particular honour to host, in the context of the exhibition, in the space of the Peristyle of the Plenary Session, on the ground floor of the Parlia- ment Megaron, a unique artwork, the monumental tapestry with the «School of Athens» produced by Gobelins factory, that the President of the French National Assembly, Mr Richard Ferrand, kindly sent us as a token of friendship and honour on behalf of the French people. I personally and most cordially thank him and I also wish to confirm on my part the historical and strong Greek-French friendship, in the present, too.
