THIS PUBLICATION is attributed to the Italian naval officer, Baron Giuseppe Parrilli. Since he did not witness the naval battle of Navarino him- self, he based his account on contemporary sources and news about the historic naval battle, which took place on October 20, 1827. In the detailed map, a fold-out at the back of the book provides the exact deployment of the opposing fleets in the Gulf of Na- varino, between the port fortress and the island of Sphacteria.
