Notification to the Greek Government of the final decisions and the complementary acts of the three Great Powers about the independence of Greece

IN THE NOTIFICATION referenceismade to the signing of the Protocol of London (22 Jan- uary/3 February 1830), which «establishes perfect independence of Greece, along with other benefits, work of the persistent and unanimous intervention of the Three Courts». Moreover, among other things, contractual terms are set to the Greek Government, such as the publication of the truce with the Sublime Porte, the withdrawal of the Greek land and naval
forces from areas that do not lie within the border- line of the new state, and securing the safety of the personal and land property of those Muslims who remain in Greek territories. With regard to the issue of appointing a ruler, it is announced the choice by the three Powers of prince Leopold de Saxe-Coburg, whose «the personal virtues and political and inde- pendent position» guarantee the successful accom- plishment of his mission.
